Microsoft has announced Visual Studio Code for Mac OS X and Linux that can be downloaded from Visualstudio.com website. Visual Studio Code is similar to Sublime Text or TextMate 2 which brings some additional code editing functionalities to both platforms. Microsoft announced Download of Visual Studio Code for Mac and Linux during Build 2015 conference this wednesday. This cross-platform support now makes the ultimate code optimized editor available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X platform.
Visual Studio Code is clearly the competitor for Sublime Text on Mac platform, and we have to wait and see how the mac users are making move to this new code-optimized editor from microsoft.
