At Kongu Engineering College – 27th Sept 08

Today i had a great opportunity to provide Guest Lecture in Kongu Engineering College. The title as “Google Technology & How to make money Online?” with almost 300 delegates present inside the auditorium.

Its one of the greatest experience in my life too.

As we were running out of time i was able to accept only few questions from the students. Alright! let me give some details what i have discussed there before i forget now .

The following PPT file is the one i used there for Presentation. I am not sure whether you will understand the contents however you can just take a look at the titles discussed in the Guest Lecture. Students were very eager to know about the second Title which is “How to make Money Online?”, Obviously every internet user eager to know that secret. I actually took Blogging as a Tool here to Generate Money Online. Also various Google Webmastering Tools as it starts with Google Adsense, Adwords by Google, the another powerful Webmaster Tool “Google Analytics” (a video demonstration to show how the analytical data is gathered for a website also explained the benefits of gathering such contents) and few other Adservices that exists in the Internet (like Bidvertiser and Chitika) . I have added Google Code in the PPT to give just an idea about Project Hosting services exist in the internet and how effectively it helps a team to Host as well as Work in a Collaborative manner. I can’t stop mentioning the SourceForge and Codeplex websites .

After explaining about the Advertisement methods with Google Adsense and Adwords Video Demonstration, which i recorded using Screen Recording service on 26th night, i gave an overview how the ad campaigns are actually working.

Then we just had a Break time of 15 minutes. We too had a Good Refreshment. After 15 minutes i started another session with the Title of “How to make money online ?“.

This session started with the Basic Skill set required to further go with Online money making process as well as the reason why i have chosen the Blog here. As Blog naturally provides good SEO Functions and easy indexing facilities made me to select blog as the best utility for beginners to generate online revenue’s. Next comes the WordPress Blog Creation Process. Showed a video demonstration on how to create a FREE WordPress Blog by doing a simple Registration process in WordPress website. The post and page creation were explained with video demo, also the management of existing topics and pages, plus gave an idea about Commenting System which acts a bridge between the site and the vistor. Next, some Blogging Tips to design the blog with effective categories and topics. Gave some website links which they can get lot of resources about Blogging and related matters. They are DailyblogTips, Copyblogger, Problogger etc.,

Alright ! So far the presentation went with the Advertising , Publishing as well as Hosting the website or a blog. The time came to explain about how to withdraw the earned Dollars to the Local Banking Account. Gave an intro as well as Video Demonstration about Paypal and its working principle. Explained about Donation options, Paypal Shopping cart provisions , adding credit cards, the level of security it facilitates and so on..

As its dealing with E-Transactions i must say something about Scammers here. Thats why i included a separate topic with the slide to give an idea about Scammers , how do they normally work etc., As these people are new to Online Business its easy for such culprits to make fool of them. To avoid those cases i have provided some basic idea about Scamming and how they can carry out such  activities. Gave an example about Keyloggers that could possibly installed in a computer by sending some application softwares and hiding the Trojan Code inside. Alright! i dont want to enter into security matters too deeper here..

The Presentation comes to an end with a Query Session. As already the IEEE Co-ordinators are running out of time i was able to receive few queries only. I just gave the email address of GO Writers Desk for further more doubts and questions related to the seminar.

Finally, rated the Participants who participated in Paper Presentation depending on their Presentation Skill, Communication and the knowledge they have in the topic they selected.
