Apple releases OS X Bash Update 1.0 for Mavericks v 10.9.5 users or later (Yosemite). ShellShock is a bash exploit which can be found in all Unix, Linux operating systems. Apple recently announced that not all Mac users are affected by this vulnerability and very minimal number only affected and the fix is on the way. As promised Apple released OS X Bash Update 1.0 to fix the ShellShock vulnerability in Macbook Pro, Macbook Air, Mac mini and iMac computers running Mac OS X Mavericks version 10.9.5 or later.

Bash is a command shell that is found in most of the Unix running computers. An attacker can use Shellshock vulnerability to run malicious codes remotely. Initially this vulnerability found by RedHat researchers.
