I got the Windows 7 premium home, 64bit, and find the windows media player can not decode the Blu-ray codec. My questions is where can I get these codecs? I googled but didn’t get it(Virus issues)
Hello Madyaux, Have you tried VLC media player ? many says it works just fine for playing blu ray files in Windows 7.
Also give a try with KMPlayer (http://filehippo.com/download_kmplayer/) if VLC didnt work. To avoid viruses, malware or adware attacks, download any software from their official website only.

Only a Blu-ray Player could decode the Blu-ray disc. VLC is a back up if you don’t find other better ones for its ability is restricted to some commercial discs. Try Macgo Windows Blu-ray Player with all your Blu-rays, I am sure it won’t let you down. Get it from official website mac bluray player
Blu-Ray is a patented technology so it requires codecs (as you surmised) to be purchased (you may not have known that part).
