Apple rolled out Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos and Lossless Audio to more countries. If Dolby Atmos Not Working in your iPhone settings, then you won’t be able to experience the Spatial Audio or Lossless Audio that just arrived. After announcing the feature at WWDC 2021, we can experience Dolby Atmos and Lossless audio with our iPhone, iPad and Mac computer.
Dolby Atmos Not Working in iPhone
Make sure you are meeting the Requirements set by Apple to enjoy listening Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos and Lossless Audio with your Apple Music.
#1 Apple Music Subscription
It is important to have Apple Music Subscription to use this service. Many people think that their offline uploaded music collection to Music app may let them experience the Dolby Atmos and Lossless. That’s not the case. You need to have Apple Music Subscription to Stream or Download songs in High Quality, Lossless or HiRes Lossless audio.
#2 Compatible AirPods or Beats Headphones
Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos is limited to AirPods 1st and 2nd Generation, AirPods Pro, AirPods Max and Beats Headphones with H1 and W1 Chip. If you don’t have AirPods then you will be able to listen only lossless audio songs and Dolby Atmos won’t be visible to you.
#3 Country / Region Restrictions
Apple didn’t roll out this feature to all countries yet. They just released Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos and Lossless audio in India. You can verify Apple Services and availability country wise from this Official Apple Website.
#4 Restart your iPhone or iPad
Apple is rolling out the feature from server side. So if you are facing any issues, it might be some bugs affecting the toggle from appearing in your iPhone, iPad or Mac. Just Restart your iPhone and that will help fixing any minor bugs. Dolby Atmos not visible in iPhone Settings should be fixed.
