Always download a software from official website. Filezilla is an open source ftp software and now modified by hackers to steal users credentials. This modified malicious filezilla ftp software is promoted by hackers in their websites to let webmasters and others download via banner ads and text ads. It will look very similar to genuine software but little less in size compared to the actual filezilla .exe software.

There will be no suspicious behavior or entries in the system registry when you install this modified malicious filezilla ftp software in your windows computer. The malware version uses 2.46.3-Unicode and the official filezilla installer uses v2.45-Unicode as shown in the picture.

Avast antivirus software is the first to detect this malicious version of Filezilla which started to spread quickly via Internet. After installing this software whenever a webmaster try to access his website, the user credentials will be sent to attackers using the ongoing FTP Connection just once.

Beware and make sure to uninstall if you have recently downloaded filezilla from different source. Always download the software from official website. Thanks for reading and you may now share this post with your friends and followers across Facebook, Twitter and Google+. Have a wonderful day.
