Apple has announced a free repair program for macbook pro with video issues that is bought between 2011 to 2013. You can check eligibility criteria if you have display problem or video issue with Macbook Pro. Apple has currently rolled out this program to most of the countries like United States, United Kingdom, UAE, France, Singapore, India etc., This video issues affects mostly Macbook Pro 15 Inch and Macbook Pro 17 models manufactured between 2011 to 2013.

Sometime ago, i wrote about “Macbook Pro Retina NVidia + Logic Board Failure, Never Ending Problem” and suggested you to avoid NVidia chipset enabled Macbook Pro Models. Because i have seen same exact issue with my friends macbook pro retina which also has nvidia chipset in it. Right now i am using macbook pro without nvidia chipset and its been more than 2 years and no display or other issues. Good to know that Apple came up with an Extended Warranty Program.

If you are not sure about your Macbook Pro manufacturing year, you can confirm it by visiting apple selfsolve tool. Obtain the macbook pro serial number by visiting the “Apple Logo -> About this Mac” at top left corner in your OS X Desktop screen. Apple Extended Warranty program announced every time when a major issues reported by users and apple diagnosed the same and confirms it.
