    Google Chrome version 40 update has arrived with improvements and bug fixes to Windows, Mac OS X and Linux platforms. Google has released the latest version 40 with Material Design and Handoff feature yesterday to iPhone and iPad. Today, the update pushed for Desktop and Laptop operating systems officially to make the chrome browser more stable and secure.

    What are the changes in Google Chrome v40?

    • Google now blocks Netscape Plugin Application Programming Interface (NPAPI) plugins to improve the Security, Speed and Stability of the browser.
    • Users can still use the NPAPI Plugins by manually allowing them from the Plug-in Blocked Notification area.
    • Chrome version 40 removes SSL 3.0 completely from the browser to address the security issue reported on October 14th with Google v39.
    • There are 62 other security fixes which can be found in Google CVE records for Chrome Browser development.

    How to update Google Chrome to v40 on Mac?

    Step 1: After launching Google Chrome on your Mac OS X, go to “Chrome – About Google Chrome” from menu bar.
