LizardSquad Claims it took Facebook, Instagram Services Down

    Update: Facebook says, the service outage caused due to internal issues and caused by hackers. Facebook has updated this in their Network Status page.

    LizardSquad (@lizardmafia) claims that their team is behind the service outage of Facebook, Instagram, Tinder, AIM and Hipchat. They tweeted about it in their Twitter page claiming credits for the temporary downtime of worlds popular social networking service Facebook, Instagram and others.

    Its been nearly 20 minutes service outage and many opened twitter to check whether facebook is not opening just for them or for many. It appears to be a global service outage and #lizardsquad targeted these popular social networking and Messaging services and excluding Twitter saying “If only we didn’t use twitter to communicate…”.
