Rooting an Android mobile allows you to install custom Roms and use the phones hardware to its full potential. Customize, Personalize and do more with your Android mobile phone. For previous android versions, you can root any android phone easily without PC following simple tutorial.
Here we have a simple steps to Root Nexus 5 after installing Android 5.0 Lollipop on your smartphone. I havent tested it personally so far, and you have to try it at your own risk.
Step 1: Enable Developer Settings and ADB in your Nexus 5 smartphone.
Step 2: Go to CF-Auto-Root-Hammerhead-Nexus5.zip from the link and unzip the file.
Step 3: Once you have extracted all the necessary files, you can execute “root-windows.bat” file if you are using windows operating system and connected your Nexus 5 via cable to USB. If you are using Mac OS X, then click on “root-mac.sh” file and execute it. Finally, if you are using Linux Operating System you have to click on “root-linux.sh” file to start the process.
Note: In case of any permission issues, use the following command to change the permission of the files and execute them once again. Type the following line on your Linux Terminal.
User> sudo chmod +x root-linux.sh
User> ./root-linux.sh
That is all. You have successfully enabled permission for the files necessary to begin installation process. Thanks for reading and you may now share this post with your friends and followers across Twitter, Facebook and Google+.
