File Zilla
Is one of my favorite and licensed under GNUGPL. Here some info about filezilla from its official website. FileZilla Client is a fast and reliable cross-platform FTP, FTPS and SFTP client with lots of useful features and an intuitive graphical user interface.
I always use filezilla and I am so accustomed to it that I never any other program. And I even never tried anyone else. It is must have client.

FileZilla is my favorite till now, but FireFTP is also good since it works with Firefox ! 😉
I tried FireFTP long back and thought of using a dedicated app for ftp purpose. Will check that out pradeep.
I am using FileZilla and have used Smart FTP once. But my vote is always for FileZilla
