Gmail Dot Trick Bug or a Feature ?

We know Gmail is a free email service offered by Google , This Gmail  Dot Trick is a cool Bug deals with username and a Dot ( . ) but its not a trick to hack the gmail account . Here all we need is a Gmail account with long username so that combinations can generated more.

Let the username and Password be

Username: [email protected]

Password: asdf

Instead  of using  Gmail account with actual username and password it is possible to login like this

#Username: [email protected]

#Password: asdf

#Username: [email protected]

#Password: asdf

#Username: [email protected]

#Password: asdf

#Username: [email protected]

#Password: asdf

or even like this

#Username: [email protected]

#Password: asdf

NOTE: THE PASSWORD REMAIN SAME

All of these will map to  same Gmail account even its possible to  compose a  mail with  dot and receiver can able to receive it but some advertisers and GPTs(Get-To-Pay)sites are banning this trick and also its not working for other email services like Yahoo,AMI,Inbox.

  1. That’s because the username with DOT is not yet acquired. If it so , then it won’t work. I have seen similar trick that i might post lately in this week =)

  2. May be we can use this to fight against spam. Give one id to the sites you trust and its varied form to those which you don’t. Once if inbox is hit with spams, its easy to filter out…

  3. So, people who do not want to shed their Google ID with someone else finally have a great option to deal with that issue! This is a very good find and I never knew such a thing ever existed. I guess that the Google team is going to blog this hack soon.

  4. All of these will map to same Gmail account. This is the bad thing. Otherwise could be used as a Gmail Id Creator 😛 Anyways nice find Man ! Great Post
