Google has rolled out the new google+ design and it looks quite impressive than the previous boring facebook clone layout. This time Google+ team has really worked hard to bring something exclusive to its users. Due to the recent facebook timeline forced issue and other privacy problems, people been looking for a facebook alternative, and Google Plus is really working on that to be the best choice.

How to Fill Whitespace in Google Plus ?

Here is a simple Google Chrome plugin to fix the whitespace problem in the new google+ design 2012, till it gets fixed by Google+ team officially. Still, i feel that the new look gives me an impression of Google+ became a combination of Better than Facebook + Twitter (Trending Hashtags) + Ubuntu (for that sidebar navigation) and a little Google + on other areas. Ofcourse, i still like this design a lot as it is much better than the previous one. Google is rolling out this design quite faster to all accounts and you will be able to see this in your account in a day or two, if it is not currently active.

This is one great addition and we can brand the pages even better with this cover picture option. I hope facebook have no patent or copyright over Cover Pictures :D.

Google Plus new design this 2012 must be a good move and we got to wait for another 1 month to see the progress of it in terms of traffic and statistics.

  1. Yeah, the “new” Facebook interface really made me looking for something better. Never used Google+ just the Gmail, but maybe it’s time for something new )
