Flock, a Social Web Browser Shutting Down

Flock, was one of the top social media web browser based on Firefox and later on Google Chrome. It was used by techies around the world who love to stay connected with their friends in social network. Facebook, Orkut and few more social networking extensions are pre loaded with Flock to show it as social media web browser. Today Flock has announced that, it is shutting down their development and browser support from April 26th, 2011.

Support for Flock browsers will be discontinued as of April 26th, 2011. We would like to thank our loyal users around the world for their support, and we encourage the Flock community to migrate in the coming weeks to one of the recommended web browsers listed below.

May be, after the arrival of Rockmeit social web browser flock might have faced its tough time and have lost its users. Rockmeit specially sweeps the 500 + million user base Facebook straight away by letting them logging in with their Facebook Credentials. Which got a wide spread across the Facebook users where every one was searching for rockmeit invitations.
