Awesome screenshot – The name speaks about the use of this screenshot API integrated with google chrome . As a blogger it was little bit tough for me to write my articles with perfect contents added with screen shots .
Let me highlight the features of awesome screenshot extension,
1. One-click screen shot. Crop (or clip) any part if desired
2. Annotate it with rectangles, circles, arrows, lines and text
3. Blur any part to hide sensitive information
4. Capture the entire webpage
5. Upload to share
6. Improve performance
7. Improve image quality
8. Crop and scroll
9. Show crop area dimension

I usually make use of the default program provided by Microsoft – MS paint ,It took me very long time to make things done . I also tried some third party softwares that are used to make more intuitive operations on capturing the screen contents and annotating the captures , I have even felt it to be like more frustrating and time consuming .
When i started using Google chrome i found it as a very useful extension for bloggers and technical writers, who needs a screen shot tool to use it anytime while surfing the internet. You may use the inbuilt API functionality to connect with your favorite online albums like Flickr, Picasaweb and so on, to upload the image instantly to share it with the world.
This also saves big time of mine while writing an article and motivates me more to write the contents. Once you are done with the article, you can proceed sharing them with the google chrome extension, chrowety.
