British physicist Stephen Wolfram, launched this awesome search engine (not just a search engine, its more than that) in november and for long time it was in alpha and finally its launched to the public.
Wolfram Alpha is a search engine that answers to your queries directly rather than retrieving loads and loads of web pages. This answer engine developed by Wolfram Research is estimated to be brilliant than Google. Rather than explaining its functionality in plain text why dont you give it a try?

Wolfram Alpha is a great addition.
Wolfram Alpha may be more brilliant than Google but I doubt if it would surpass the king of search engine. Google is like a household name and many are comfortable using it. However, Wolfram is a nice alternative. 🙂
Wolfram alpha cant overtake Google and it doesn’t aim too….its just an Answer Engine
Although it has launched two years ago, but it still can not get the trust of the user. Wolfram Alpha SE used to be regarded as “the overthrow Google”, but only a few people know and use it. It seem to be the “smart version” of Wikipedia than a SE.
I thought that Wolfram was dead in the water? Are people still talking about it? I don’t hear the buzz over here.
Google may not answer questions, but at least it sends you to places where you can find the answer (like this blog!). Walfram “never anything but” Alpha can only answer simple questions, and leaves you wanting to know more and going to Wikipedia to find it.
Hi Jon people generally have a misconception that Google answers this piece of article is to show them how an actual answer engine works out
It is just a search engine, it can’t compete with Big G.
It isn’t a search engine, it is just a computational knowledge engine.

I think Wolfram Alpha is smart, but only in certain topics and areas. For now, Google is still the best search engine.
Google has become evil: it’s intrusive, biased, and an agent of tyranny.
Sounds like a good start up search engine. But I don’t think they wont stand against Google in the long run, since Google is more powerful than anything.
